Professional soccer training for boys and girls ages 5 to 13

The Whitecaps FC will be holding camps throughout the summer in the Okanagan.

The Whitecaps FC are Western Canada’s professional soccer club with a men’s and women’s professional team, youth teams and an extensive professional development program. The Whitecaps FC were recently accepted as a new franchise in Major League Soccer (MLS), North America’s top professional league.

Whitecaps FC camps are designed as age specific training programs. This ensures that players of all levels are challenged, focused, and having fun in an effective professional environment.

In addition to teaching players new skills, drills and techniques, Whitecaps FC camps also provide a unique scouting opportunity. Whitecaps Youth coaches are well trained to spot high potential players with opportunities to play in the Whitecaps professional development program.

CAMP DETAILS

Development Camps - $129

  • Each camp runs weekly for 5 days Mon-Fri, 9:00 to 11:00
  • All levels for Boys and Girls age 5-10 (U6 to U11).
    • U6 to U7 – Beginner: Fundamental skills.
    • U8 to U10 – All Levels: Technique, skills.

Performance Camps - $139

  • Each camp runs weekly for 5 days Mon-Fri, 11:45 to 1:45
  • For Motivated Boys and Girls age 9-13 (U10 to U14).
    Includes Technique, speed/agility, team play.

March 18, 2009 - Vancouver, British Columbia, will be the home of Major League Soccer’s 17th team, MLS Commissioner Don Garber announced today. The Vancouver MLS team will begin play in 2011 at the newly-renovated BC Place Stadium in the city’s downtown entertainment district. The venue will undergo approximately $365 million CDN in improvements before the new MLS team takes to the field, and will have a seamless 20,000-seat soccer-specific configuration.

January 13, 2009 - Lake Country Soccer Club, North Okanagan Youth Soccer Association and the Vancouver Whitecaps have created a partnership agreement that will see the new Whitecaps Youth Affiliate Club – Okanagan Whitecaps FC - train at both Beasley Park and Vernon Indoor Centre which will allow local U9-U11 players (both boys and girls) to participate in the Whitecaps Junior Academy Program.
